The Mäklarhuset estate agency
The estate agency chain Mäklarhuset was named Årets Mäklare (Estate Agency of the Year) in 2006. Behind this prestigious award lies a great deal of effort concerning quality, service and increased exposure. Among other things Mäklarhuset uses portable display stands to present its current properties in shopping centres, golf clubhouses, banks and other places where there are possible clients. Via the mobile telephone network it is easy for the various estate agency offices to add and remove properties. Every day new houses and apartments are put up for sale on displays where they can be seen around the clock.

One of the offices that has invested in display stands is the Mäklarhuset estate agency in Örebro, where Peter Sjölinder is an estate agent:
“First and foremost we have placed our displays in the windows of business banks. This is an innovative and simple medium that brings about much more attention than traditional estate agent boards. We have our properties on display for 24 hours a day and people are happy to stop and look to see what is on offer. They are also continuously updated with the newest properties, and it is easy to remove them once sold.”
Daily updating
The daily updates of properties on offer are managed by one person in the estate agency office, who can send the information to the display stands via the mobile telephone network. Mäklarhuset uses two of the displays on each stand to show pictures and texts of all its properties. The agreement with the banks includes the possibility to use the central display for information concerning loans, unit trusts and other financial offers.
Strengthens the brand
”We take the display stands out and connect them up on site. We also usually take with us roll-ups, tables, and other items. A recent occasion was in connection with us wanting to draw extra attention to the new tax rules in Sweden for property sales. Using the displays out among the public strengthens our brand and underlines that we have the ability to reach purchasers.”
Profile-creating pictures
Mäklarhuset has a centralised framework agreement with ZetaDisplay in respect of display stands. The common marketing function of the chain contributes to a certain amount of the profile-creating pictures and other marketing material, but in general each local office is responsible for the use and updating of their displays.
